Georgios Christopoulos

Assoc. Prof. Georgios Christopoulos is a cognitive neuroscientist and faculty member at the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and leads interdisciplinary research at the intersection of neuroscience, business, and environmental design. He is co-director of Culture Science Innovations and collaborates with the University of Pennsylvania Center for Neuroaesthetics and the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture (ANFA).

His research focuses on understanding managerial, entrepreneurial, and organizational behavior through advanced experimental and neurobiological methods. Key areas include social decision-making, trust dynamics, mental fatigue, and the influence of cultural symbols and built environments on human performance and well-being. He employs methodologies such as brain imaging, psychophysiology, computational modeling, wearable biosensors, and virtual reality.

His work is published in top-tier journals across disciplines including business (FT-50), neuroscience (Nature Neuroscience, Journal of Neuroscience), interdisciplinary science (PNAS), and engineering (Building and Environment). He has secured over USD 3.5 million in research funding from government and industry sources.

Georgios Christopoulos is actively involved in innovative research initiatives and leads the Deon Lab, which explores human behavior through digital phenotyping and neuroscientific tools.
