Georgios Arabatzis

Georgios Arabatzis is a Professor of Byzantine Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds the email address garabatz@philosophy.uoa.gr.

• Education: Ph.D. from École de Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris), with honors; post-doctoral research at University of Torino, Italy
• Prior Affiliation: Researcher at the Research Centre on Greek Philosophy, Academy of Athens (1998-2012)

His research focuses on Byzantine philosophy, its Ancient sources, and its modern perception. He has lectured extensively at international institutions, including Princeton University, University of Texas at Austin, and University of Helsinki, and is actively involved in Greek and International Philosophical Societies.
