Georgina Wilson is a Stipendiary Lecturer in English at Brasenose College, University of Oxford. She also serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Thin Ice Press in York and coordinates the Print Exchanges Network. Her work bridges literary studies with material bibliography, focusing on the physical and conceptual dimensions of early modern texts. She contributes regularly to the Times Literary Supplement.
Her research investigates how paper shaped literary paradigms like authorship and form, as detailed in her monograph Paper and the Making of Early Modern Literature (2025). Funded by prestigious fellowships including the AHRC Huntington Library award, her interdisciplinary approach engages practitioners, curators, and creative writers. She co-edited the special issue ‘The Politics of Book History: Then and Now’ for the Journal of Early Modern Studies (2025).
Teaching focuses on 16th-18th century literature through FHS Papers 1, 3, and 4, emphasizing material textuality. Her work has appeared in leading journals such as Criticism and Inscription.
