Dr. Georgina Constantinou is a part-time Research Fellow at City St George's, University of London, working within the Centre for Maternal and Child Health Research. Her expertise centers on health psychology with specialized focus on vulnerable populations in pediatric and perinatal healthcare contexts.
Education:

Research Interests: Georgina conducts in-depth qualitative investigations into parent experiences within children's healthcare systems, particularly for families managing life-limiting pediatric conditions. Her work critically examines access barriers in palliative care, end-of-life services, and bereavement support. Current research focuses on perinatal mental health including anxiety (MAP Study), birth trauma (INTERSECT Study), and perinatal loss, with emphasis on culturally responsive care pathway design through community co-creation in East London.
Advising and Grants: While no current student supervision is documented, Georgina completed a 3-year funded PhD at Bedfordshire and contributes to major research initiatives including the MATRIX Study—a community-driven project developing culturally tailored perinatal mental health interventions funded through institutional partnerships.
Teams and Labs: She operates within the Centre for Maternal and Child Health Research, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of clinicians, public health specialists, and community stakeholders across East London to implement evidence-based improvements in maternal-child healthcare delivery.
