Georgina Beaty

Georgina Beaty is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Stanford University's Department of English. She holds an MFA from the University of British Columbia and was a Stegner Fellow in Fiction from 2020 to 2022. Her work spans creative writing, screenwriting, and theater, with publications in notable journals like New England Review and The Walrus.

Georgina earned her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. She has also participated in residencies at MacDowell, Jentel, and The Banff Centre, and was a screenwriting resident at the Canadian Film Centre.

Her research and creative work focus on fiction, creative nonfiction, and screenwriting. She explores narrative techniques and storytelling across various mediums, including short stories, plays, and film scripts.
