Georgina Barton

Professor Georgina Barton is Professor of Literacies and Pedagogy in the School of Education at the University of Southern Queensland. Her research focuses on literacy, arts education, and wellbeing, with over 160 publications and $1.5 million in research grants. She conducts socially-just research in Australian and international educational contexts.

Her recent book 'Aesthetic Literacies in School and Work' explores new pathways for education. She teaches courses on literacy pedagogy (EDM8013) and arts education (EDM8007), emphasizing transformative approaches to learning.
