Marthy Watson

Dr. Marthy Watson is a Lecturer in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the School of Education, University of Southern Queensland. She holds a PhD from USQ, alongside qualifications including HighEdDip (Orange Free State), BA(Hons) (Pretoria), and MA (Free State). With over 25 years of experience in arts education across South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia, her research focuses on reflective practice through arts-based learning, curriculum integration in rural Queensland, and teacher/student well-being. She advocates for the arts in education and collaborates with diverse communities.
