Georgia Zellou is a Full Professor of Linguistics at the University of California, Davis. She serves as Co-PI of the UC Davis Phonetics Lab, co-Director of the 2019 Linguistic Institute, and co-Editor-in-Chief of Linguistics Vanguard. Her affiliations extend to the Center for Mind & Brain and the French & Italian Department at UC Davis.

Her research focuses on phonetics and phonology, particularly individual differences in coarticulatory patterns, device-directed speech, and sound change mechanisms. She explores sociolinguistic variation, language acquisition, and computational approaches to speech processing.
Recent publications include the monograph Coarticulation in Phonology (2022), which examines coarticulatory patterns in speech production. Her work spans sound change analysis, infant-directed speech dynamics, and phonetic studies in endangered languages.
