Georgia Samaras is an Academic Councillor in Science and Technology Policy at the Technical University of Munich’s Department of Science, Technology and Society (STS). She completed her PhD at TUM’s Munich Center for Technology in Society in 2020 with a dissertation on environmental epigenetics and mental health. Her research focuses on the intersections of science, health policy, and welfare practices, particularly in contexts of social adversity and migration.
Education: Studied German Philology, Comparative Cultural Studies, and European Ethnology with a focus on STS at the Universities of Regensburg and Humboldt Berlin (2015). Doctoral research at TU Munich (2015–2020).
