George Verghese

George Verghese is Henry Ellis Warren Professor of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at MIT, where he co-directs the Computational Physiology and Clinical Inference Group. His research spans dynamic systems modeling with applications in power systems, biomedical devices, and clinical inference algorithms.

He received MIT's Capers and Marion McDonald Award for mentoring excellence (2021) and MacVicar Fellowship for undergraduate teaching. Verghese co-authored textbooks on power electronics and signals/systems used in MIT curriculum.
