George Moustris

George Moustris serves as a Research Associate at the Institute of Computers & Communications Systems within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), where he is an active member of the Intelligent Robotics & Automation Lab (IRAL).

His educational foundation includes:

• M.Eng. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2003
• Ph.D. in Robotics and Control from NTUA in 2010

Dr. Moustris specializes in medical and surgical robotics, with core expertise in beating heart motion compensation, haptic feedback systems, and shared-control architectures for telesurgery. His current research drives innovation in assistive robotics automation, focusing on operational autonomy for surgical and rehabilitation platforms. This work bridges theoretical control systems with clinically viable robotic solutions.

As a key contributor to NTUA's Intelligent Robotics & Automation Lab (IRAL), he advances medical robotics through experimental validation of novel control paradigms in surgical environments.
