George M. Coupland is a Professor and Director of the Department of Plant Developmental Biology at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research in Cologne, Germany. Previously, he was a Research Group Leader at the John Innes Centre in Norwich, UK (1989-2001) and held postdoctoral positions at the Max Planck Institute and the University of Cologne (1985-1988).
