George Hripcsak is the Vivian Beaumont Allen Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Director of Medical Informatics Services at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University. He holds affiliations with the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Data Science Institute (DSI). His expertise spans clinical informatics, electronic health records (EHRs), and medical knowledge representation standards. Hripcsak earned degrees in chemistry, medicine, and biostatistics, and is a board-certified internist.
