George T. Haley is a Professor Emeritus of Marketing at the University of New Haven's Pompea College of Business. He holds a Ph.D., MBA, and BBA from the University of Texas, along with a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish. His research focuses on international marketing, emerging markets, and the strategic business practices of Asian networks. Haley has authored over 130 publications, including influential books like Subsidies to Chinese Industry and New Asian Emperors. He has held visiting professorships at institutions like Harvard University and Emory University, and served as an advisor to governments and corporations globally.
His work bridges academia and practice, with notable contributions to understanding Chinese state capitalism, intellectual property regimes, and global supply chains. Haley has advised the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission and testified on trade policies impacting U.S. industries.
