Professor George Gamble holds the KPMG Professorship of Accountancy and Taxation at the C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. His expertise spans governmental accounting, accounting theory, and managerial accounting. Prior to academia, he worked as an internal auditor at the Tennessee Valley Authority and with firms like Arthur Andersen and Coopers and Lybrand. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University in 1980. Publications appear in journals such as the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, and the Accounting Historians Journal.
