George Andreiomenos is a Professor of Modern Greek Philology at the Department of Philology, University of Peloponnese. He serves as Dean of the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies, directs the PMS "Ancient and Modern Greek Literature", and leads the Laboratory for the Longitudinal Study of the Greek Language and Writing "Nikos Karouzos". He also acts as the general philological supervisor for the Ourani Foundation of the Academy of Athens.
- Graduated from the University of Athens (1986) and earned a doctorate from the University of Birmingham (1991).
- Prior roles include Research Associate at the Centre for Byzantine, Ottoman, and Modern Greek Studies (Birmingham) and Scientific Associate at the Directorate of Military History (GES).
- Taught at the Universities of Patras, Ionian University, Rhodes School of Guides, ELAS Officers School, Bosworth Tutors College, and University of Mainz.
His research focuses on Modern Greek Philology, Byzantine and Ottoman studies, longitudinal Greek language analysis, and cultural intersections. He coordinated the "Heraklitos" scientific program, which prepared eight doctorates at the University of Peloponnese.
Administratively, he served as Deputy Rector for Administration and Personnel (2013-2017) and Vice-Rector for Administrative Matters (2017-2022) at the University of Peloponnese. He also directed the Transnational PMS for Special Education (University of Peloponnese and University of Turin) and the PMS for Byzantine Culture (Mystras collaboration).
