George A. Constantinides

Professor George A. Constantinides holds the Royal Academy of Engineering and Imagination Technologies Research Chairs at Imperial College London, where he serves as Professor of Digital Computation and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. His research focuses on hardware design for fast, low-power computing, including FPGA-based acceleration, approximate computing, and memory system optimization. He leads the Circuits and Systems research group and oversees over 30 PhD students and research staff.

Research contributions include pioneering 'lossy synthesis' techniques and open-source tools like LUTNet and KOCL. His work has been commercialized in millions of devices via industry collaborations with Xilinx, ARM, and Imagination Technologies. He actively chairs FPGA conferences and serves on EPSRC advisory bodies.
