Prof. Dr. Georg von Krogh is a Full Professor and Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation at ETH Zurich, where he also chairs the Global Advisory Board and serves on the Risk Management Commission. He holds honorary affiliations as a Research Fellow at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, and Affiliated Scholar at the Laboratory for Innovation Science (LISH) at Harvard University. Previously, he served as Head of the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics (2008-2011) and Professor at the University of St.Gallen (1994-2006), with leadership roles at SDA Bocconi and BI Norwegian Business School.

His research focuses on competitive strategy, digital innovation, and organizational knowledge creation, with industry expertise spanning financial services, media, software, life sciences, and consumer goods. He serves on editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal (Deputy Editor), Mit Sloan Management Review, and Organization Studies. His honors include the Fellow of the European Academy of Management, ETH Zurich Teaching Award 'Goldene Eule', and Association of American Publishers' Best Professional Business Book Award.
Von Krogh actively consults for companies in Asia, Europe, and the USA, with advisory roles at organizations like UBS, World Web Forum, and Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce. He leads the Public Interest Committee at PwC Switzerland since 2024 and contributes to policy through memberships in the Research Council of Norway and the Swiss National Science Foundation.
