Georg Keller

Georg Keller is a Senior Group Leader at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI) in Basel, Switzerland. His research focuses on understanding the neuronal mechanisms underlying conscious perception and psychiatric disorders, particularly exploring how antipsychotic and antidepressant medications affect cortical activity. He leads a laboratory investigating the circuit basis of perception and how these circuits dysregulate in disease.

Education: PhD (2009) from the Institute of Neuroinformatics, University of Zurich/ETH Zurich. Previous positions include Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology and Junior Group Leader at FMI (2012–2017).
