Dr. Geoffrey McCullen is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of New England's College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM). He is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon and clinical anatomist, certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He holds an M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and an M.S. in Healthcare Delivery Science from Dartmouth College.
His career includes active duty as Chief of Spine Surgery and Director of Research at the Naval Medical San Diego and UC San Diego. He later founded OneHealth Nebraska, a physician association, and served at the VA Maine Healthcare System as Surgical Preceptor and Chief of Orthopedics. He has co-authored *Hip and Knee Replacement: A Patient’s Guide* and contributed 9 textbook chapters and 17 peer-reviewed articles. His research focuses on spine surgery and healthcare innovation.
Awards include fellow status in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His teaching spans medical student preceptorship and anatomical education at UNE.
