Geoff Lobley serves as a Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Technology program within the School of Construction at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), having joined the faculty in 2018 with a focus on Project Planning and Estimating.
His educational journey began with Civil Engineering Technology studies at SAIT, inspired by childhood construction site visits in northern Saskatchewan with his grandfather. He is currently advancing his expertise through a Master of Education program at Athabasca University.
Geoff's research centers on transformative industry practices:
- Lean Construction methodologies
- Construction project lifecycle management
- Cost estimation systems
- Civil infrastructure development
He leads SAIT's lean management initiatives, implementing tools that revolutionize construction workflows across planning, execution, and resource allocation. His professional background includes managing commercial/industrial projects valued between $100,000-$40 million as a Project Manager and Estimator.
