Genna Gardini is a Senior Lecturer (2015–2019) at CityVarsity Cape Town, specializing in performance studies, text analysis, and writing for performance. She co-founded Horses’ Heads’ Productions, a queer theatre company, and has published widely in poetry and essays. Her research focuses on intersections of Multiple Sclerosis, gender, queerness, and performance.

Teaching expertise includes modules like DRA259: Cultural Politics and Performance. Awards include recognition as a Top 200 Young South African and fellowships from the Institute for the Creative Arts.
