Dr. Gene B. Fliedner is a Professor of Operations Management in the Decision and Information Sciences Department at Oakland University's School of Business Administration. He holds a DBA in Operations Management from Indiana University. His research focuses on Lean methodologies, supply chain optimization, forecasting systems, and operational efficiency. He has published extensively in journals like the Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, and International Journal of Production Management. Dr. Fliedner has received numerous awards, including the Shingo Research Award (2013) and multiple Pawley Lean Institute Fellowships (2011–2018). His teaching specialties include Lean management, project management, and operations planning.
