Gen-Qiang Chen

Gen-Qiang Chen is a Research Professor at the Shenzhen Grubbs Research Institute, Southern University of Science and Technology. Previously, he held roles as Research Associate Professor (2024-2025) and Research Assistant Professor (2018-2021) at the Institute of Frontier and Interdisciplinary Sciences, SUSTech. He completed his PhD in Organic Chemistry (2015) at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and postdoctoral research at SUSTech (2016-2018) under the Presidential Excellent Postdoctoral Scholarship.

His publications reveal trends in chiral ligand design, industrial hydroformylation, and asymmetric hydrogenation of complex substrates. He has contributed to Nature Chemistry, Science Advances, JACS, and Angewandte Chemie, with 60+ first/corresponding author papers.
