Gema Guevara-Rincón

Gema Guevara-Rincón is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Didactics of Language and Literature at the Faculty of Education, University of Murcia. She holds a PhD in French Philology (2022) and Master’s degrees in Teacher Training and Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. Her research focuses on innovative teaching methodologies in French as a Foreign Language (FLE), with an emphasis on gamification, drama, and technology integration. She actively contributes to academic projects like Erasmus+ ALTA and Franco-Spanish cooperation initiatives.

Her educational background includes advanced studies in French philology and linguistics, complemented by training in Neuroeducation and Artificial Intelligence applications in education. She teaches courses on French language didactics, early childhood education, and FLE curriculum design. Her work emphasizes creative tools such as theater, video games, and social media to enhance language learning.

Research interests span idiomatic phrasing, flipped classrooms, and the use of immersive tech like VR for cultural learning. She has published extensively on digital tools, song-based pedagogy, and collaborative learning strategies. Notable contributions include manuals on dramatization in FLE and analyses of video games as language-learning aids.

She has supervised multiple Final Degree and Master’s projects and is a member of the Association of Francists of the Spanish University (AFUE). Current projects explore AI integration in language education and the role of neuroeducation in optimizing FLE instruction.
