Yolanda Fernandez Pena

Yolanda Fernandez Pena is a Full Professor at the University of Vigo, Faculty of Philology and Translation, Department of English, French and German Philology. Her research centers on linguistic change in English, particularly verb number agreement with complex collective subjects, syntactic characterization of fragments, and second language acquisition in CLIL contexts. She has authored a monograph and multiple peer-reviewed articles analyzing corpus-based patterns in World Englishes.

Her publications investigate idiomatization in binominal constructions, Bayesian approaches to agreement morphology, and the quantificational evolution of collective phrases. Pena has co-edited volumes on applied linguistics methodologies and presented at international conferences.
