Prof. Gearóid Ó Cleircín is a Professor in the Department of Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge at Dublin City University. He serves as the project leader for initiatives such as Téarma, LEX, and An Líonra Saineolaithe Náisiúnta. His roles include managing terminology projects and contributing to the Centre for Translation and Textual Studies and Foras na Gaeilge’s Terminology Committee.
Education:
- BA in Irish and Anthropology, Maynooth University
- PhD in Irish, Maynooth University
Research focuses on terminology, lexicography, corpus linguistics, folklore, digital humanities, biographical data, and onomastics. He actively engages in digital humanities projects and advises students interested in these fields.
