Gavin Sade

Professor Gavin Sade is the Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education, and Social Justice at QUT, overseeing strategic leadership and academic governance. He holds a PhD in Interactive Media Arts and Sustainability and a BMus in Sonology. His career spans over two decades, blending academic leadership with innovative contributions to creative arts and design education. He has pioneered interdisciplinary programs and collaborated extensively with industry and international partners.

Research interests focus on interactive computational media, electronic arts, and sustainable design. He has been recognized with awards such as Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has led initiatives like the development of the niggle app for youth mental health. His academic roles include serving on committees like the University Academic Board and the Learning & Teaching Steering Committee.
