Gary Warrick is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at McMaster University. His research focuses on Iroquoian archaeology, particularly the Huron-Wendat people of southern Ontario, with an emphasis on precontact and contact-period studies. Dr. Warrick's work explores ancient diets through stable isotope analysis, European copper trade networks, and ethical stewardship of Indigenous archaeological heritage. He has contributed significantly to understanding the impact of European contact on Indigenous populations, including studies on disease-driven depopulation and material culture exchanges.
