Gary Smith is a Visiting Professor at Bournemouth University and a former Consultant in Critical Care at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, with a distinguished career in patient safety, early warning systems, and resuscitation. He has made significant contributions to national and international guidelines through his work with the UK Royal Colleges and Resuscitation Councils.
