Gary Schwarz

Professor Gary Schwarz is a Professor in Public Management and Strategy and Director of the Public Management and Regulation Group at Queen Mary University of London. He previously held leadership roles at SOAS University of London and served as Head of School of Finance and Management. His research focuses on improving organizational and individual performance, leadership approaches in strategy processes, and public sector innovation.

Education includes degrees from Harvard University, University of Chicago, Northwestern University, University of St Gallen, and WHU (Germany). He has taught at Harvard, Cambridge, King’s College London, London Business School, and the University of Nottingham’s China campus. Notable accolades include the Lord Dearing Award for teaching and Dean’s Award at Harvard.
