Gary Lemack

Dr. Gary Lemack is a tenured Professor in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, with a secondary appointment in Neurology. He specializes in urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, and voiding dysfunction in neurological diseases, particularly spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease. He has served as Residency Program Director since 2004 and previously led the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship.

• Education: Medical degree from Cornell University, residency at The New York Hospital, and fellowship training in neurourology at UT Southwestern.

His research focuses on urodynamics for lower urinary tract dysfunction, best practices for neurological bladder conditions, and reconstructive pelvic surgery. He has authored 3 AUA guidelines and over 160 original articles.

Notable awards include the Paul Zimskind and Distinguished Service awards from SUFU, Texas Monthly Super Doctor, and D Magazine Best Doctor. He has held leadership roles in SUFU (Past President, Executive Committee 2005-2020), American Board of Urology (Past President), and the Journal of Urology Editorial Board.
