Gary James Ellis

Gary James Ellis is a Senior Research Scientist at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), serving as Head of the FISPOL Group and an Associate Scientist in the ESISNA Group. His research focuses on interdisciplinary materials science, addressing challenges in sustainable materials, polymer nanocomposites, and advanced spectroscopic techniques. He leads projects such as the MIRAS Synchrotron Beamline and coordinates initiatives like SPoNaFun and BuS-TAF-Nano.

His work spans polymer physics, nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications, and laboratory astrochemistry. Ellis has contributed to ERC Synergy Grants and collaborative projects involving graphene and 2D materials. He actively engages with industry through CSIC's Interdisciplinary Technology Platform (PTI+).
