Gary Fowmes

Dr. Gary Fowmes is Reader and Senior Tutor at the University of Warwick's School of Engineering. He holds an EngD from Loughborough University (2008), MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from Newcastle University (2003), and BSc in Geology from Durham University (2002). His professional experience includes roles at Golder Associates, FCC Environment, and Loughborough University.

Fowmes' research focuses on geosynthetics interfaces, waste containment systems, slope stability monitoring, and sustainable construction techniques. He develops innovative testing methodologies for soil-geosynthetic interactions and early warning systems for slope failures.
