Gareth Jones

Gareth Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences at Chester Medical School, University of Chester, affiliated with the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society. He has held roles such as Chair of the Chester Medical School Research Ethics Committee and Disability Link Tutor. His academic journey includes a PhD in applied exercise physiology from the University of Liverpool (2001–2008), following undergraduate studies in Sports Science and an MSc in Exercise and Nutrition Science.

His research focuses on physiological/psychological stress, heart rate variability, and the benefits of touch/massage.
