Ganesh Thakur is a Distinguished Professor of Petroleum Engineering and Director of Energy Industry Partnerships at the University of Houston, Cullen College of Engineering. He leads initiatives in integrated reservoir management, CO2-EOR, waterflooding, and CCUS technologies, positioning UH as a leading energy university.

Research Interests: Dr. Thakur specializes in multi-disciplinary approaches to oil and gas recovery, including CO2-EOR, waterflooding, integrated reservoir management for conventional and unconventional reservoirs, and CCUS. His work integrates machine learning, advanced PVT research, and field-scale optimization.

Labs & Teams: Dr. Thakur leads the Energy Industry Partnerships (EiP) team, fostering collaboration between academia and industry through multidisciplinary projects focused on sustainable energy solutions.
