Galya Velikova Duncheva

Galya Velikova Duncheva is a Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Mechanics of Materials within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Instrument Making at Technical University of Gabrovo. She specializes in surface engineering, fatigue analysis, and mechanical surface treatments of metals.

Her research focuses on enhancing surface integrity and fatigue life of metallic components through diamond burnishing, roller burnishing, and cold working processes. She has extensively studied residual stress analysis, wear resistance, and microstructure modification in aluminum alloys and stainless steels.
