Professor Gallya Lahav is a leading scholar in the field of international migration and European integration at Stony Brook University's Department of Political Science. She holds a PhD from the City University of New York and has held visiting positions at Harvard University, Stanford University, and the European University Institute. Her research focuses on migration-security linkages, climate migration, and public opinion dynamics. She has authored or co-authored multiple books, including *Immigration, Security and the Liberal State* (Cambridge, 2023) and *The Migration Reader* (Lynne Rienner, 2005).
