Gail Vogel

Gail Vogel, Ph.D., serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Education (Department) at DeSales University's College of Education. With over 50 years of experience spanning K-12 public schools, intermediate units, and higher education, she has held diverse roles including special education teacher, educational consultant, assistant school principal, and director of special education and nonpublic schools.

Her research focuses on students with specific learning disabilities and evidence-based special education programs, services, and interventions for PreK-12 learners. She emphasizes practical applications to improve educational outcomes through tailored program design and implementation strategies.

As former director of the M.Ed. program (2013-2015) and current faculty member teaching graduate and undergraduate courses—including in the Adult Studies program—she mentors emerging educators while leveraging her extensive administrative and teaching background.
