Gail Hollander

Dr. Gail Hollander is Associate Professor of Geography in the Department of Global and Sociocultural Studies at Florida International University's Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs. Her scholarship examines the intersection of agricultural systems, environmental change, and global economic forces through frameworks of political ecology and feminist geography.

Notable publications analyze Florida's sugar industry development and its socioeconomic-environmental consequences, including 'Raising Cane in the 'Glades: The Global Sugar Trade and the Transformation of Florida.'
