Gaia Boniardi

Dr. Gaia Boniardi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Queensland. Her research focuses on optimizing phosphorus recovery systems and advancing circular economy principles through sustainable resource management in wastewater and environmental engineering.

• Research Themes: Phosphorus recovery, enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR), nutrient management, and sustainable waste valorization.
• Collaborations: Industry partnerships with wastewater and mining sectors, International Water Association (IWA) involvement.
