Gabrielle Pagé is Associate Professor jointly appointed in Anesthesiology/Pain Medicine and Psychology at University of Montreal. As psychologist at the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit (Montreal General Hospital) and FRQS Research Scholar, she leads a comprehensive research program on chronic pain transitions, opioid therapies, and biopsychosocial determinants of pain.
Her research examines: 1) Transition mechanisms from acute to chronic pain using trajectory analysis; 2) Impact of physical/mental comorbidities on pain management; and 3) Long-term outcomes of opioid therapies. She directs multiple CIHR-funded projects on pain trajectories and opioid safety.
Education includes a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Recipient of FRQS Junior Research Scholar awards (2020-2028), Canadian Pain Society Young Investigator Grant, and Ronald Melzack Award.
Recent publications analyze pain trajectories during COVID-19, psychological flexibility in pain interventions, polypharmacy patterns, and implementation of virtual care models. Research consistently demonstrates methodological innovation in longitudinal pain studies.
Leads knowledge translation through the Quebec Pain Research Network and Project ECHO implementation for pain management.
