Gabriella Bedoyan

Gabriella Bedoyan serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategic Communication at Washington State University's Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. With over 15 years of teaching experience since 2006, she instructs courses spanning intercultural communication, media studies, and strategic communication, fostering critical global citizenship through experiential learning.

Her pedagogy emphasizes humility in cross-cultural engagement, empowering students to confront stereotypes and become active participants in social change rather than passive consumers of information.

She has presented at national forums including the NEA Higher Education Conferences, WSU's Murrow Symposium, and the Washington State Council for Social Studies. Bedoyan developed staff workshops on cultural competence at Bastyr University and founded the Gabriella Bedoyan Study Abroad Scholarship to support international educational experiences at WSU.
