Gabriele Vanoni is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Chair in the Composition Department at Berklee College of Music. Born in Milan, Italy (1980), he holds two bachelor’s degrees in piano and composition from Milan Conservatory, and a doctorate in music composition from Harvard University. His work spans acoustic music, live electronics, and orchestral compositions, performed globally at venues like Carnegie Hall and the Venice Biennale. He is founder and artistic director of the Suggestioni Festival of Italian music in the U.S.

Research Interests: Vanoni’s compositional style integrates technical mastery with cultural context, emphasizing interdisciplinary creativity. His recent projects include Nutrire La Musica for the 2015 Milan Expo and an accordion-string orchestra piece.
