Dr. Gabriele Bonomelli is a Research Fellow at the University of Kent’s School of History, funded by the British Academy Newton International Fellowship. His research focuses on political and institutional history of the Late Middle Ages and religious turmoil in Early Modern Europe, emphasizing critical editions of primary sources. He holds a PhD from the University of Bologna, supervised by Prof. Isabella Lazzarini, and conducted postdoctoral research at the Universities of Wuppertal (DAAD Fellowship) and Bologna, under Prof. Barbara Bombi.
