Gabriel Fierro is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines, with a joint appointment at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). His research focuses on databases, cyberphysical systems, IoT, and semantic interoperability, aiming to enable sustainable practices through data management. He leads the Brick Schema project, an open-source ontology for smart building data standardization.
