Gabriel Cutrufello, Ph.D., serves as the Chair of the Department of Communication and Writing and Professor of Rhetoric and Composition at York College of Pennsylvania. He is based in the Humanities Center, Room 154, and can be reached at gcutrufe@ycp.edu. Dr. Cutrufello earned his Ph.D. from Temple University (2012), M.A. from San Diego State University (2006), and B.S.Ed. from West Chester University (1998).
His research focuses on the Rhetoric of Science, History of Rhetoric, Rhetorical Genre Studies, and Composition Pedagogy. His recent publications explore topics such as scientific communication during crises, rhetorical scanning in historical research, and institutional frameworks for undergraduate writing studies.
