Gabriel Clark is a Senior Lecturer in Visual Communication at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), School of Design. His expertise spans comics, graphic storytelling, motion design, digital photomedia, and multi-platform storytelling. He has developed award-winning curricula for UTS’s Visual Communications degree over 15 years.
Research focuses on graphic storytelling and performance, supported by grants such as the ARC linkage project Folio: Stories of Australian Comics. He co-authored the Graphic Storytellers at Work report for Creative Australia and edited a scholarly book on Australian comics. His practice-based work includes acclaimed events like Read to Me, Radio With Pictures, and co-founding the Graphic Festival at Sydney Opera House.
He supervises Masters/PhD students and collaborates on projects through UTS’s Visualisation Institute.
