Dr. Gabriel Cartagena is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and serves as the Clinical Director of the Yale Psycho-Oncology Program (YPOP) at Yale Cancer Center/Smilow Cancer Hospital. He is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in psycho-oncology, health psychology, and behavioral medicine, with a focus on cancer survivorship and health equity.

Clinical Focus:
As Clinical Director of YPOP, he provides psychological care to cancer survivors and oversees clinical training for predoctoral psychology interns. His clinical interests include chronic illness adaptation, trauma-informed care, tobacco cessation, sleep medicine, and reproductive health in oncology settings.
