Gabriel A. Brooks

Gabriel A. Brooks, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine and The Dartmouth Institute at the Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth College. He serves as a member of both the Cancer Population Sciences Research Program and the Gastrointestinal Clinical Oncology Group at the Dartmouth Cancer Center, with additional affiliation to The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.

Dr. Brooks received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 2002, his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006, and his M.P.H. from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2013. His clinical and research focus centers on optimizing cancer care delivery systems to improve patient outcomes.

His professional interests include cancer care delivery, developing interventions to prevent hospitalizations during cancer treatment, creating strategies to reduce toxicity of cancer treatment, and implementing screening for DPD deficiency prior to fluoropyrimidine chemotherapy. His research portfolio demonstrates a strong commitment to addressing disparities in cancer care, particularly for rural populations and underserved communities.
